I just came home from a friend’s house, and boy was it fun! I guess it’s true that life would be different, in a more fun way, if you have friends. We were on our way home when we saw someone by the street lamp. She looked like she was waiting for someone or something. She was carrying a purse, and it really caught all our attentions.

The bag’s unique looks and practical design was its primary elements that caught our hearts. It has an oval shape that kind of look like a football. Its pleated detail and shiny hardware is effective in bringing it away from the sports field. It’s made up of leather that is more luxurious than any other pigskin.

Its distinctive shape made it have more generous space for us to carry every necessity or luxury we want to. Its long thick handles also made it more comfortable to carry on the shoulders, especially that it’s padded. Because of this bag, my friends and I have something to talk about for the two – hour drive that’s ahead of us.

My Sofa Cushions Were Starting to Look Old So It Was Time to Make New Ones

pillow « my half of the brainMy home office is my own personal sanctuary and I have taken a lot of time to decorate it in a way that really expresses my personality so that I can be completely comfortable while I work. The cushions in my sofa were starting to get a little worn and old looking so I decided that I would make some new ones that looked better. My sofa is black so I knew that I could safely go with a print and still have it look great. A little bit of looking around introduced me to Robert Kaufman fabric which had a couple of prints that I really liked. After much debating I ended up ordering the black cherry fruit basket print fabric because I thought that it would look really good with the other touches of red in the room. My cushions came out great and now I think that I am going to make a couple more for decoration.

She Found a Party Dress for a Dance

My roommate in college decided that she wanted to pledge a sorority. She liked the idea of being in the Greek system. She felt that belonging to a sorority would help her later, when she graduated and was looking for a job. She went to all the houses to see what they were like. She was invited back to several of them. She knew she had to look good in order to fit in, so she got her hair and nails done and found a party dress that she could wear to one of the dances. She also bought several more dresses that she could wear for different occasions at other houses. Some of them were casual and one of them she would save for her pledge night. It took her a few days to finally decide which house to pledge. She ended up choosing the one that her aunt was a legacy at and she loves it there.

While we are supplied two nurses uniforms where I work, I always like to buy my own backups. They’re not too strict with regards to what we actually wear as long as it makes a good impression on the whole and it looks official and clean. But I often like to take my own small personal flair and liberties with the dress and the garb that we nurses usually wear around here. I’ve found that it makes me more easy and comfortable on the whole, and this helps me do my job. I get nervous sometimes that I’m not caring for someone enough or in the proper way, and that’s a big concern of any health practitioner in general. But if you can look official while you’re doing a job, I’ve found that no one is really going to question you. This goes a long way when you’re getting people to trust you.
